DJ George “Gee-Money” Mitchell

George “Gee-Money” Mitchell (or just Gee as he’s affectionately known by many) is a lifelong resident of Charleston, WV. For more than 25 years, Gee has been the right-hand-man of Woody Woods. From helping start and manage WV’s first hip-hop radio station, 107.3 “The Beat,” to helping manage major-talent concerts, to managing and MC’ng private events and wedding receptions for BRAVO Live DJ... Gee is always making Woody look good!

We salute Gee for his service to our great country through dedicating 10 years of his life to the U.S. Army. After working as an accountant in the military, Gee worked for the State of WV for 25 years, eventually retiring from the Tax Department. All the while, Gee has worked as an Assistant Program Director for WV Radio Corp for 25 years!

Gee has one son, who gave him one beautiful granddaughter. But he is loved by so many that he is the honorary Godfather to three more youngsters! He has a strong work ethic for sure, but in his leisure time you’ll most likely find Gee golfing or traveling. He can’t say no to a good beach trip!

Fun fact: Back in his younger, military days... Gee was also an “International Model!” He participated in modeling shoots all around Southeast Asia, including Korea and Japan. Wow!
