DJ Matt Murphy

Matt Murphy grew up in the beautiful state of West Virginia. He attended Nitro High School, then went on to Marshall University to get his BFA in Music Performance. At Marshall, he played the tuba for the amazing Marching Thunder. He then continued his education and received a Master of Arts in teaching! He now has been living in the surrounding area of Charleston, WV for more than 10 years.

When Matt isn’t rockin’ weddings for BRAVO Live DJ on the weekend, he works full time for WV Radio Corp. Although he spends most of his time behind the scenes, managing logistics and helping ensure their profitability, you will occasionally catch him On-Air! And he even helps with much of their live sports broadcasting.

In his off-time, Matt is a self-proclaimed “wanderer.” He loves to travel, even if it’s by himself! Whether it’s going across the country to a great concert, checking out a big city, or hitting the beach to read a good book while relaxing on the shore... Matt’s never been one to be idle. To Matt, life is an adventure. And he certainly makes the most of it!

Fun fact: Matt has visited every state east of the Mississippi, except Rhode Island (but to be fair, R.I. is so tiny he may have accidentally driven through and didn’t even realize, LOL).
